Message: ZO 04-01 DEDICATION - A THIN LIZZY TRIBUTE Op 4 januari 1986 verloor de wereld één van haar muzikale grootheden: Phil Lynott, charismatisch frontman, bassist en zanger van de Ierse hardrockers Thin Lizzy overleed op die dag na een leven vol sex, drugs en rock-'n-roll. In Dublin wordt sindsdien op deze dag een groots tribute georganiseerd onder de naam Vibe for Philo. Terecht, gezien de enorme staat van dienst die Thin Lizzy en met name Phil opgebouwd hebben. Bekende rockbands als Metallica, Bon Jovi, U2 en Iron Maiden zien Thin Lizzy als grote inspiratiebron. Thin Lizzy stond al een poosje op het lijstje om als thema van een POB-coverfestival te dienen. Het werd de hoogste tijd dat daar eens werk van wordt gemaakt, daarom organiseert POB met trots Dedication, a Thin Lizzy tribute. De dag begint 15.30 uur met de vertoning van A Film for Philo. In deze documentaire volgt Leon Giessen twee Lizzy-fans bij hun bezoek aan Vibe for Philo in Dublin. Na deze opwarmer spelen in de zaal van Mezz vier Bredase acts Thin Lizzy-nummers op hun eigen wijze. Lost Lovers, Ludo Maas, Kroeta en De Gaskachels: zij steken de Lizzy-songs in een eigen jasje. Na de optredens van de Bredase acts volgt een fantastisch optreden van een speciaal voor de gelegenheid samengestelde topformatie "Live and Dangerous". Na zes jaar afwezigheid heeft Boudewijn Bonebakker, ex-gitarist van metalformatie Gorefest, voor de gelegenheid contact gezocht met drummer Ed Warby (Gorefest, Ayreon, Star One), Peter Vink (bassist bij Q65, Finch, The Box en Star One) en Ross Curry (Spo.dee.o.dee, Shamus en Seed).
