Message: De line up voor Molfest Metal 2002, gehouden op 19 januari in het Euro-jaar 2002 te JC Kompleks Heerhugowaard, is rond. Nadat Dimension Seven als headliner al een tijdje vaststond hebben we zoals we altijd doen, naar het beste voorprogramma gezocht. Tientallen promopakketten van beginnende, maar ook gerenomeerde bands hebben we beluisterd. En getoetst op de voor Molfest geldende facetten. Onlangs verscheen het bericht al dat Proove us Wrong bevestigd werd, Prrove us Wrong is een regionale band, met als stijl (grofweg) een kruising tussen Prong en Testament. Gister hebben we overeenstemming bereikt met Cheesy Victims (bekend van hun freakshow). Cheesy Victims heeft allerlei muzikale invloeden, maar kan wel gecategoriseerd worden onder de noemer moderne metal, en past daarom uitstekend bij Dimension Seven. Proove us Wrong valt als naam op tussen deze twee nu-metal bands, dat is ook bewust, want Molfest Metal moest geen nu-metal festijn worden. Als vierde band, is vandaag bekend geworden, ook een band die wat klassiekere metal-invloeden beoefend, namelijk Autumn Equinox zal haar symfonische (lees Dream Theater) metal over het publiek van Molfest strooien. Zo heeft deze Molfest Metal weer een gevarieerde bandlijst, waar we trots op zijn. Hopelijk tot ziens op de 19e januari van 2002. Check voor info: www.molfest.nl
