“The Day of the Raven” is a five track EP from Italian heavy metal band Black Raven. With this five track release they hope to reach a bigger audience and get the attention from record companies willing to invest in a full length debut. The music by this band is very much in the vain of Judas Priest, Accept and Iron Maiden. As a matter of fact, the band started out covering tracks of the aforementioned bands.

The sound of Black Raven is very classical. Particularly the high pitched vocals of Andrea Csaszar can considered to be a strong point. I wouldn’t be surprised if this band gained some popularity in their home country. I doubt whether they have the potential to become big beyond the Italian borders. The music is too basic to draw attention.
